Proteomics GWAS

Protein quantitative trait loci (pQTL) are the genetic variants modulating the expressing of proteins. These pQTLs help us understand the underlying mechanisms of diseases and discover promising targets for pharmacological intervention. Based on data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry technique, we conducted genome-wide association analyses for 1,298 tryptic-digested peptides and 304 unique proteins in the Guangzhou Nutrition and Health Study (n=2,410).

Gut microbiome GWAS

The gut microbiome is interdependent with individuals and plays an important role in responding to the complex and changing environment. To investigate the genetic factors that contribute to the inter-individual variation of theĀ gut fungal or bacterial community, we characterized the genetic architecture of the human gut fungi (n = 7,350) and bacteria (n = 7,935) among the HanĀ Chinese.
